Ednaika had a rough upbringing. She along with 6 other siblings had only the support of a mother and her mother had a severe sickness. Her mother sent her to an Aunt in the city hoping that Ednaika would at least be able to go to school. Instead of helping the aunt put her to work to sell water on the streets all day. The mother was notified by a neighbor who lives close to the aunt. Unable to provide for her needs and putting her to school, she was brought to the orphanage after taking out of the streets.
